The CT BBB Student Ethics Scholarship Award recognizes a secondary school student who personifies high ethical standards through leadership, community service, overall academic history and personal integrity. A panel of independent judges will select a Connecticut high school junior through evaluation of a written essay.

Connecticut Better Business Bureau President, Paulette Scarpetti, says today’s students are tomorrow’s business leaders, and that the Award attracts entrants who understand the ethical demands of the marketplace.

"The quality of submissions always makes it difficult for the judges to decide. This indicates awareness on the part of students of the importance of character and sound moral judgment, not only in school, but in the marketplace and society as well."

The scholarship must be used towards school-related expenses, such as tuition, books, room and board.

Applicants must be Connecticut residents and plan to attend an accredited institution in the United States.

Only applications from high school students currently in their junior year are accepted. Click here for a description of requirements and the application form.

The deadline for applications is Friday, June 22, 2012. The Award will be presented by the Better Business Bureau this fall. For more information please contact your BBB at 203-269-2700 extension 100.
